Do Your little Bit of Good where you are. it’s those little Bits of Good put together that Overwhelm the World.

Superior Plumbing & Heating is committed to protecting the environment and is proud to be a carbon neutral company.
Talk to me about anything eco friendly, I’m passionate about it!
It is currently impossible to prevent emitting co2 into the atmosphere however Superior Plumbing and Heating is contributing to carbon offsetting projects. In the last 12 months SPH Ltd produced 2.5 tonnes of co2. 3 tonnes of carbon has been offset in 2018 via a school tree planting program locally within the West Midlands and also supports tree buddying through the VCS program helping to protect trees in the worlds rainforests. This program not only plants trees to absorb co2 in the West Midlands but also educates children in school about the importance of trees and the impact we have on the environment.
I am continually looking at ways to reduce the impact we have on climate change. As part of a new boiler installation with Superior Plumbing & Heating, 2 tonnes of carbon dioxide will be offset. To offset 2 tonnes of CO2 costs just £25.80 and is more than enough to offset an average sized property’s carbon emissions for heating for a year when heated by a high efficiency gas boiler. Should you wish not to partake in this project please just let us know. If everyone works together, we can make a difference.
I want to do more- here’s the plan!
By the end of 2019 I intend to have created a new area of small native woodland in Longdon. The site is suitable to accommodate 50 trees of approximately 10 different species of native broad leaf tree. Habitats will be created for wildlife to inhabit and the ground beneath the trees sewed into a wildflower meadow to encourage butterflies and bees to thrive. I am truly excited about this project and look forward to being able to update this page with pictures as the work progresses and the saplings grow into trees over the years to come. Carbon Ofsetting is imperative to bridge the gap between now and when the time comes we can become a carbon free society. These tree’s will then able to contribute towards reversing the effects of climate change on our planet.
What is Carbon Neutrality?
Carbon Neutral is a term used to describe the state of an entity (such as a company, service, product or event), where the carbon emissions caused by them have been balanced out by funding an equivalent amount of carbon savings elsewhere in the world.
These savings are generated through helping to fund renewable energy projects and energy efficiency projects, many of which bring additional social and community benefits in developing countries as well as reducing greenhouse gases.
There is an increasing number of businesses claiming to be carbon neutral. They recognise that being carbon neutral can play a key part of their sustainability and Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy whilst enabling them to do their bit for global climate change. They also realise that individuals and corporate customers prefer to buy products and service from environmentally conscious suppliers.
